How we talk here

Speak from your own experience“Here is what happened to me” helps. “You must” does not.
Nobody diagnoses anyone hereNot even the health professionals among us. They can point you somewhere; they cannot examine you.
Pseudonyms, alwaysNever ask anyone who they are outside this page, and never say who you think they are.
Report without explaining yourselfA report is never shown to the person reported. You risk nothing.

This is not a doctor

Severe pain, fever, unusual bleeding, a lump: do not wait for a reply here. Call your doctor, or 112 in an emergency.

What this community is good at is everything that comes after: living with it, what helped someone else, the questions you did not dare ask in a seven-minute appointment.

Rather read up first?

Written and sourced, on the same subjects this community talks about.
